  • B.Sc. in Geology/Applied Geology
  • Bachelor’s in Mining Engineering
  • Diploma in Mining Engineering

• Language Proficiency: Gujarati and/or Hindi (reading, writing, understanding)
• Age Limit: 18 – 35 years (with relaxations up to 45 years for some categories)

1. Visit the Official Portal: Go to ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
2. Navigate to Applications: Click on “Online Application” and select “GSSSB” from the list of departments.
3. Find the Post: Look for “Mines Supervisor, Class-III – Advt. No. 320/202526” and click on it.
4. Apply Online: Click “Apply Now” and fill out the application form with accurate personal, educational, and contact details.
5. Upload Documents: Upload a recent passport-size photograph and your signature in JPG format (Max size: 15KB).
6. Pay the Application Fee: Complete the payment process through the online payment gateway using your preferred method.

Application Fee: As noted above there is an application fee which is compulsory for all GSSSB recruitments, therefore, it is important to refer to the notification to confirm the amount. It is also essential to make the payment on or before the application deadline of August 2, 2025.

Probation Period Clarification: Government jobs in Gujarat generally have a five-year period with fixed payment of ₹26,000. This amount serves as a dual purpose of training and probation period. During this evaluation period your performance gets measured, and upon successful completion you get validated for the post and shifted to the standard pay scale associated with the position.

Subject Specific Syllabus: Geology, Applied geology, and Mining engineering are the topics comprising in GSSSB prescribed syllabus for Class-III exams and you should start looking for it while keeping in mind that your degree are significant in relation to the concepts and core subjects studied. Horizontal Reservation: An understanding of horizontal reservation is necessary. The 33% reservation for women and 10% for ex-servicemen will have candidates selected from their respective social category (General, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS) for those groups. For instance, an ST woman candidate will be selected against the ST quota.

Language Proficiency: The advertisement states that one must know Gujarati or Hindi; however, the competitive examination may have a section on Gujarati language and grammar. Therefore, it is better to be fluent in both written and spoken Gujarati.
