Eligibility Criteria

  • Non-ITI: Class 10 pass under 10+2 system with ≥ 50% marks (as on 5 July 2025)
  • ITI: Class 10 pass + NCVT/SCVT ITI in relevant trade with ≥ 50% marks
  • Age Limit (as on 5 Aug 2025):
    • Non-ITI: 15–22 years
    • ITI: 15–24 years (Welder & Carpenter: ≤ 22 years)
    • Relaxations: SC/ST +5 yrs, OBC +3 yrs, PwD (UR +10, OBC +13, SC/ST +15), Ex-Servicemen as per norms

Salary & Compensation

Stipend will be provided as per Railway Board/Labour Ministry guidelines during the training period.

Selection Process

  1. Merit List based on Class 10 marks (minimum 50% required)
  2. Tie-breaker preference: Older candidate > Higher Matric marks

Note: No written test or interview – selection is strictly merit-based.

How to Apply?

  1. Register at apprenticeship.gov.in to obtain RDAT registration number (mandatory)
  2. Visit blw.indianrailways.gov.in or apprenticeblw.in and select “47th Batch Act.Appt./2024”
  3. Fill in personal, educational, and trade details (choose only one trade)
  4. Upload:
    • Class 10 certificate (DOB & marks)
    • ITI certificate (for ITI candidates)
    • Category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD/Ex‑Servicemen)
    • Passport photo (4×5 cm, white background, name/date; 20–50 KB)
  5. Pay ₹100 (General/OBC) by 5 August 2025. Exempt: SC/ST/PwD/Female candidates
  6. Submit and download confirmation/receipt.

Important Notes

  • This is a training programme, not employment. Apprenticeship agreements will be signed.
  • Only one application per candidate; duplicates will be rejected.
  • Failure to comply with the training requirements may lead to termination.
